Google Assassin remains the top selling Ebook at Clickbank for 3 weeks running!

Ok so I am tailing off a little bit from the first few days of the 25 days of christmas giveaways, in order to show more closely results that can be achieved with your PPC campaign through an actual case study!

I have chosen Google Assassin by Day Job Killer author Chris McNeeney because of it’s sheer popularity. The number of searches to number of sales ratio is at an all time high, and I hope as we approach Christmas, many IM guys out there treat themselves to this Ebook, or buy it for their colleagues.

Ok first thing is first.. Let’s set the groundwork for the research… We know some things right off the bat, and here they are:

  1. Google Assassin is an Ebook intended for the Internet Marketing audience.
  2. The URL to the Merchant (jobkill101) is http://www.djkassassin.com and this page looks like a great landing page to captivate the surfer and get their attention
  3. The Day Job Killer, written by the same author was a big success and made a lot of affiliates a lot of $$.
  4. Price for the book is a reasonable one, $77 of which clickbank pays 60% (as of December 4th, the payout on this item on average after chargebacks is $29, so keep that in mind as well.

There are some things before we launch a PPC campaign that we DON’T know for sure, and these things could prove crucial to know before we get in too deep. Here are the things I am going to look at before making my PPC ads, my Landing Page(s) and my general “Review Site”

  1. How much competition is currently paying for top spots at popular PPC engines (namely adowods)
  2. How involved are the affiliates with the product sales? Is the merchant the main seller or is this a very affiliate driven sales campaign?
  3. What are the best times of the week and times of the day to SELL an ebook? I can make hunches and I can speculate, but would rather have some solid evidence to back up my hypothesis with regards to this.
  4. Who currently has the best landing pages, best review pages and are they going to be easily improved on, keeping in mind our QS from google will play a major part in PPC costs, and overall profit

(being the ‘work at home” father of 2 lil ones, i am off to the mall and will return to continue this portion of the research, and will post results!)…
